Yazmin's Baptism

Mis queridos amigos y familia,

 

This week has gone great. Yazmin did end up getting baptized on the 30th yesterday. It was a very glummy rainy day pero no importa! porque era muy lindo igual. My comp and i sang in front of our ward for her. and gee i never want to sing up in front of anyone again. but everyone said we sounded like angels. hahah i´ll try to believe it. anyway im so happy to see our dear Yazmin baptized. she wants to be a missionary just like us so shes always in skirts. she´s darling just saying! i have a feeling that her grandpa will soon get baptized. we had a great experience with the restoration video and it touched his heart. he said that he knows that its true. now we just have to get them married. like i said the grandma is a member and a lot of her aunts.

This week we found some great investigadores so i cant wait to start working more with them. we are now working with Carlos who only has one leg due to an accident. but we´re having a hard time getting him to church. once we get a ride he wont answer his phone so that we can comfirmed. also very ironic we have also been working with Mirta who also has one leg due to an accident and shes always busy. so we´ll see what happens. we have great hopes! i am so grateful that hna reid and i brought one soul into the waters of baptism. estamos buscando a ful!! y yo tengo mucho fe y esperanza que vamos a encontrar mas personas que están esperándonos. Tengo gozo en mi alma hoy :)

I also did just recently get a haircut and dont worry its still long. the lady was super dulce just a sweetheart. and i think i will obviously get used to it. i think im liking it haha.i want more time with my comp so we are crossing our fingers. only one week to find out about transfers. i hope you all are doing well!!!! i miss you all and love you all too!!! por supuesto! :) cuiden sen!

My Birthday in Argentina

Well i will start off saying Mel, I'm truly sorry that you got your camera stolen. that's probably the worst present. i hope you enjoyed your time with the members! and i hope you enjoyed your day for the most part. cant believe we´re 20!! ha crazy.

This week i got super spoiled. First on the actual day  i got invited over by a family to eat some cake. it was sure cute and they sang feliz cumpleaños. the next day was a baptism of the elders in our ward. so went to go support. Little did i know that the Bishop told everyone in the ward that it was my birthday. the bishops wife made me a cake(yes cake number 2) and everyone at the baptism sang happy birthday to me. and then all came around giving a beso on the cheek or a handshake. i was super embarrassed because i was like its the day of the baptism girl! not me! but oh well i felt super loved. and turns out some members gave me some gifts. i got a tank top from my investigator Yazmin and a cute coin purse from hna Iskra. the birthday surprises keep coming through the week. then yesterday the marquez family we were all eating lunch. and then they came in with a candle and sang to me. i feel very grateful for the members in my ward and for the love i feel from them when I'm so far from my family.

we are still looking forward to see if Yazmin will get baptized this week on the 29th. pray that her grandparents will be patient and happy with her. oh and looks like my prayers were answered. I'm not sure how but the kittens disappeared they are now gone. hope they re okay. I'm grateful for this time that i have to be here and serve the Lord full time. its surely the hardest thing Ive ever done. but its the time i have to loose myself and give my will to the Lord. i know that I'm changing for the best. i love you all and i know that this is the true restored church of Jesucristo. and i will not deny it. don't forget to pray and read your scriptures!! :)

Happy Birthday, you have hives.

Well as you know from the title i had a horrible case of the hives this week. my whole body covered and gee i was miserably itchy. i still havent figured out what im allergic to. 

Yasmin should be getting baptized the 29th if everything works out. and Pablo well... ya fue! we had a bomb drop on us this week. we found out a lot of things about that we did not know. and sadly he started drinking and smoking again. and to make the story short, he fell in the love with my comp. so we will not being seeing him anymore. yes to be honest, im super bummed about it i really thought he changed and now i feel as if it was a huge game. pero voy a seguir mas adelante. 

this week i have great birthday plans all of the members want to feed me! hahah so im sure it will be great. but wont be the same without you mel!!! its really weird to think that im going to be 20! actually, WE´RE going to be 20. MEL, TE AMO!!!!! I miss you and i hope you have some great plans. Fam and friends thanks for all the birthday wishes i hope you all are doing great. i really do miss you all!!

I know that Christ lives and that He loves us so much that we cannot comprehend. Im grateful that he always is there for me. I know that the mission isnt susposed to be all flowers. but i know that it is changing me in a good way. I love my mission!!! y por este tiempo que yo tengo. voy a aprovecharlo :D

Week 2: new area

well i had my second week here and im still getting used to it. but im having a great time. i love my comp! shes the best. i am so happy because we are going to have a baptism this month! cute little Yasmin. seriously the lord really does work miracles. because we went to have a cita thinking of asking for permission from her grandpa her parental guardian. little did we know that he had already said no. but God touched his heart. because he said yes! we got permission and her grandma whos a member is so happy!

we are also working with a guy named pablo. hes an alcoholic and smokes a pack a day. and with the help of the lord he has stopped for these past few days. i know that the lord has to do with everything and i am so grateful. he didnt show up to the first two hours of church and we were getting worried. but he showed up for la reunion sacramental. happy time! poor guy was trembling and sweating a full from all the withdrawals.

i am so grateful for my salvador, jesucristo. se que el esta ayunandome mucho. no en todo! i hope you all are doing great. the mission now will not be getting any packages from now on. sad, but i´ll be okay. hope you all are lovely and well. love you all!!

Cambio! Moron en Castelar

Alright so sadly i said that i wanted to leave my old area. and now im marking my words because i cried. i miss it now! well i miss being en el campo pero esta bien! i got transferred i am now back to the city life back to washes my clothes by hand haha. i am in Moron en Castelar. and i am with a yanqui otra vez. her name is Hna. Reid and shes from Mesa, Arizona. She's 23 and has 11 meses en la misión. i love her. we are getting a long so well its ridiculous. 

So it was a hard week of leaving my old area. i opened that area and closed it. but its okay because now 25 de mayo is going to have a matrimonio running things and i know that good things are in store. its has a been a good few days in moron we found 9 nuevos en 3 dias. i am excited to start working in this area and i know the Lord is in everything. dont take what you have forgranted like i did!

ps funny story we have a problem we have a random mom cat how had kittens en our backyard. this is a problem we are waiting until they can walk to give them away. anyone wants kittens? chiste!!
