Bicycles, a picnic, and a plethora of good things

after another week going by it was fun. we had bikes for 2 days while the other hermanas were in buenos aires. and i had some lovely moments of falling. the seat was too high and with a skirt haha
that explains it all. i will surely be sending some pics your way.

after dropping Marcos he´s still been going to church so were praying to know what we need to do. we had a leccion con Rocio and we were planning on having to stop coming by. and i dont know what was with me but i truly cried as we explained our purpose and i told her that i left my family behind for her. i truly felt the love that Christ has for her and i want the best for her. little did we know that made a great impact because she came to church!!!!! i cant explain how happy i was!! here i was leading the music in relief society and thinking "where´s Rocio she said she would come..." and then she walked through door. im sure that the look on my face was classic. this was definitely a great blessing this week actually a miracle. and i am so grateful!!!

this week is transfers so i should be finding out tonight if im leaving or not. i know that i will be leaving our beautiful pench because we have the matrimonio coming in. i guess we will see what the Lord has in store. Valentines!

okay so im literally exhausted! hahah i cant even concentrate on the computer. this week was full of ups and downs. hahaha yo tiene una aventura that i´ll never forget! so we were heading to an investigators house and my comp decided if we took this long road we would make it to her house. so after walking for 30min we realized that we had made it to a high way hahahah. so i was a fun walk out in campo some gorgeous fields and i was so mad at myself for not having my camera. im sure every truck that went by was like where are those girls going? but that was fun.

we finally decided that we needed to say goodbye to Marcos because he wasnt progressing. and he relapsed on smoking. on valentines day we received a lovely text from Marcos saying that we wasnt going to be here for march and has to stop going to the church of jesuscristo and saying no estoy listo para ser bautizado. i was pretty bummed but i knew it was the right thing to do. and after all of this hes still going to church. i know that en el futuro he will be prepared to be bautizado.

im still trying to find that family! and im still working to find them. i am so grateful for this gospel y por el gozo it brings to me. i hope eveyone is doing well!!! i cant believe that feb is already almost over. crazy. Mel we´re going to turn 20 in marzo!! que loco. i love you all and im doing well thanks for all the love and support. i am so grateful.

Had a pic-nic last P-day!

Week of February 9th

It was a very rainy week. it literally poured down cats and dogs. And all of our sita fijas fell. So Mel i know how you´re feeling! Well you know how i told you about this week. Sadly we never could find them together this week. We´re praying this week that we will be able to find them all together. Because i felt that this was an answer to my prayers. But you know there´s more families to find out there and we´re searching for them everyday.

we had a hope of a baptism this month Marcos. but he hasnt been coming to church. But he has been good with quiting smoking. Whats important is to know if he´s truly ready to make this commitment. Because its not just hey i´ll get baptized and then stop going to church. This is a lifestyle i dont know if thats the right word to describe it. but its a never ending process. When we are baptized we promise to the keep and follow the commandments of God. Ir a la iglesia es un mandamiento de Dios. Going to church is a commandment of God. This week we had zero investigadores in church. if you all have any ideas or advice to help my investigadores understand the importance of going to church, let me know! Dígame!

other than that its been a great rainy week. and i actually dont mind it because it hasnt been so hot. but i dont like that everyone doesnt want to receive us because of the rain...
Grandma porter i got your package from dearelder. im so happy justo i was complaining that i missed peanut butter and lucky me the package was filled with peanut butter everything.

Announcement, i had no clue but im only allowed to receive 4 packages per year. so if you could hold off the packages as much as i love them! maybe save them for my birthday. Again i love you all!!! Se que ese es la iglesia verdadera! thank you for all your love and support.

Un be-sito y un abraso!

Last Week, Some Interesting Details

HOLA! its been a great, interesting week. i had a surprise visit from the president the other day. Had my interview and it really was nice. it was a little pickmeup! I have now committed to finding families that are married. because I'm honestly now worried about some of my conversos. But Ive learned my lesson the hard way. in my zone we have something called Ojo del tigre, which is Eye of the Tiger. haha i know that makes me want to see the song. but it has really changed my perspective in this work and I'm gaining a testimony of it. it has a list of things that we need to do everyday. 1. Orar por familias casadas 2. Hablar con cada familia 3. Palabras de Fe 4. Practicas
After doing all of these things we found a family! and it was weird how it happened. The Lord answers your prayers in ways you really don´t expect at times.

So we´ve been teaching Rocio (yes another rocio) she´s 24 and a book worm so she reads everything that we give her. I love it! Her little niece is always there listening to us her name is Erica and she´s 8 years old. But Ive only greeted her mom. We invited Rocio and Erica to come to church and Erica said she wanted to go. Rocio didn't really promise anything. The next day Domingo, we´re walking to church and all of the sudden i see Erica in a car with un hombre. Erica came to church with her dad who i never met! to make the story short, we taught them a lesson after church with a member and found out that he´s married.

I am so grateful for how the Lord answers prayers. Its so true if we put in all of our effort the Lord will bless us. i cant tell you who excited i am to start working with this family! and i also learned that if I'm opened to changing how i do things the more success that brings. I am so grateful for this gospel and for the joy it brings in my life. I sincerely hope that all of my brothers and sisters can be a part of this joy. I love you all so much! I'm far away but I'm learning so much and I'm becoming a different person. A better Harmony.

Hope you all have a great week! hahah you know whats sad i didn't even realize it was the Superbowl this past week.

***

So i forgot to tell you some interesting accidental things that have happened in my mission so far. don't ask me why i forgot! The day of new years i decided to buy ice cream and we were doing divisions so i was with Hermana Mumford she was asking about all these flavors and trying each one and then she got to one that she didn't like. Me liking to try everything that's food. i went for the spoon. as soon as i put it in my mouth i didn't feel right. and then the lady sad it has alcohol in it. I was literally about to cry in that moment to be honest. and i had the nasty breath of a drunk for a few seconds. thank goodness the spoon was a pea size. Well i learned to not trust ice cream ladies here...

Another thing! I learned a new word the other week with Hna Urquia, Piojos. Lice. We found out that she had lice and i went insane!! i couldn't stop thinking about it and then it made me itch. the next morning i went and brought one of those fine toothed combs. just to make sure that i didn't get any! ahhh hahah thank goodness i don't have lice. but it was worth the doubt. enjoy these embarrassing stories.
