Feliz Navidad!!!!!! :D‏ {December 22}

Mis queridos,

well first off i hope you all are enjoying this Christmas season. Because those of you who know me, know that i love chirstmas. Being on the mission has made me realize the impotant things in life. its really not about the gifts and the decorations (though i do like them). but ive realized the most important thing in my life is my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is everything. Thanks to our loving Heavenly Father he sent his son. And his son, Jesus Christ, has made it possible for us to have eternal life.

these two videos together speak better than i can.

this week i have been doing well. my poor comp has been sick this all week. so once again stuck in the house. its okay I love reading my scriptures :) so we are looking forward to this week especially of christmas. were planning on going caroling with the sisters. something my president told me was "As Christmas approaches, ask yourselves, “How would the Savior spend this day?” i am looking forward to spending my last christmas here in Argentina. i will be giving my all. i know that Jesus Christ is My savior and that He lives.

love you all!!!! have a merry christmas.

la misión es la mejor.‏ {December 15}

Dear amigos y familia,

im afraid that it has been a very interesting week. we´ll see if i have the words to explain everything that happened. well we moved into our apartment on monday. we did not sleep there the first night because we sprayed the whole thing with Raid to kill spiders. BIG spiders. so we carried our matresses to the sisters apartment and slept on the floor. haha just so you know it was my comp that didnt want to sleep with the spiders. i had no problem.

tuesday we deep cleaned and we stayed the night in our new apartment. now i cant explain everything that happened. but the next thing i knew i didnt feel good and the next thing we were getting out of the apartment. and i fainted. so my comp called president and the asistents came over and took me to the hospital. while we were driving to the hospital one of the elders gave me a blessing. and i was feeling better after. we got to the hospital. and i explained everything that happened. he did a couple of tests and then in english said, "go home" ya i felt pretty dumb and i didnt want to go to any other hospitals.

the next hospital was a hospital that looked like an insane asylum. it had this huge gateway that looked like it was built in the 1800s. this time the guy was nice and did all the tests that president asked for.  it was like a building with just stalls and the doc had crazy white hair and sunken cheek bones and big green eyes. i felt as if i was living a scene in a horror movie. but hey he was nice did the tests and i was normal. we went the the offices and slept in an apartment close by. we got there at 3am.

anyways dont be worried. i honestly dont know what happeneed to me. but i am safe and sound.
i am so grateful for the priesthood power in my life. it is amazing how powerful it really is. and thats because its the power of god.

i love you all!!! i hope you enjoys this chirstmas holiday. its really my favorite :)

love,

Entrenando‏ {November 17th}

mis queridos,
Todo piola??

Well i will share you all about my experience training. first off we are living in a small apartment with 2 other sisters. and we are crammed in there pretty tight. we've been waiting for 2 weeks to move into our new apartment. we should be leaving the apartment this week i hope and the other 2 will keep living there.

Also i am still getting used to the schedule changed with studying for 4hours. it is super hot over here and im getting more blonde everyday. and more freackles hehe!

We found an angel last week, named Irene, she reminds me of my grandmas because shes the sweetest. She came to church this week and shes completing all of her committments. shes super prepared. The lord called us to this area for a reason! and we found her just by clapping out by her house. she was busy painting so she set a time with his the next day to pass by. when we went she was waiting for us and open her gate first thing and told us to come in. we have a 2 lessons with her so far. we taught her the restoration and then the plan of salvation. she told us that shes been to many churches and not one she liked. and i promised her that she would feel a difference because the church is the church of jesus christ. she came and she told me she felt so calm and that shes going to go this coming sunday. I love her so much. seriously shes just so special to me.
my hijita hna Andersen is the sweetest!!!!!!!!!!! and we are laughing it through helping her learn the language. shes so cute.

and we reactivated a family well then came to church yesterday for the first time after 2 years. hna andersens testimony helped them come back. because my comp was inactive for 4 years and then went back. her testimony was so strong and even though it was hard for her to speak they understood and felt the spirit.

anyway thats my update for now. still on the search!!!!Loving this area its so special and prepared, i know it.

I love you all soooooooooooooooo much!!! enserio i really do.
cuídense mucho

Mi "hijita" es Hermana Andersen. i know is this a joke??? hahah its not. but it is so fun doing contacts because everyone thinks we have the same name and im like no mine ends in "on" and hers with "en" hahaha. Anyway shes 22 and shes from a little town kinda of like Panaca but its in idaho. its called Lost River. shes the sweetest and i love her!!

lluvia a tul!!‏ {November 3}

Hola!!!! todo bien?!!
Well as for this week we are still an oreo. but we will be recieving the phone call tuesday night. transfers... so we´ll see if i get to stay or not. This week has been a complete week of rain and nothing else. it rained all day yesterday and all night. and it recently just stopped :) hahah i do like the rain but in the mission when were walking and no one wants to let us in or go outside its not so fun.

we had some divisiones this week again and it went well. i still love learning from the sisters. Marcela didnt come to church because shes taking care of her dad and she was up until 4 in the morning. but she said that she wants to go weekly. i trust her. and our miracle, Camila, whos getting baptized this month didnt come. i think the rain didnt help. we are still seeing so many miracles :) because i remember starting in this area with no one and now we have 2 investigators that are progressing. i am so grateful. i hope i get to stay to help them in their process of preparing to enter into the waters of baptism. but i just remind myself that its what the lord wants.
on halloween mel and i completed 15 months in the mission. were getting old!! congrats on the baptism he looks so sweet!

happy Halloween i hope it was great! :)

Que calor!

My dearies,
hola!!! ¡cómo están?

We have been so blessed this week. I dont think i have mentioned this but my comp and i started a "purification" and its where we ponder on the things that we change so that we may have the spirit to be with us at all times. We made some  personal goals and some companionship goals. We committed to the Lord by starting with a fast.

i have seen and felt a huge difference this week. We found some more great hijos de Dios. and i feel that they are going to progress. yesterday, Marcela, came to church for the first time!!!!! shes so great all of her family is from Chile so i call her mi mijita marcela :) my chileans have taught me well. Recently, a month a ago marcelas mom passed away. we were so happy to share with her the restauración and how thanks to the restoration we can be with our families forever. and in our second lesson we explained the plan of salvación.Sunday, we went over to her house in the morning and ate breakfast and then we all went to church. yesterday the primaria had a programa and the theme was "families are forever" it was the cutest. all these songs about families and parents always get me teary eyed.

on saturday we got hit with surprise and we now have a new comp hna arenas de Jujuy, Argentina. shes 23 and has 11 months in the mission. we are in a trio!!! hahah my first one. i call us the oreo because im the white cream in the middle and then i have mis morochitas :)

im grateful for all the blessings that i have recieved and am recieving. i love this gospel and i know its true.
everyone!!have a great week please. because i love you all!!

chauuuuuuu
besitos!!

semana enferma‏ {October 20th}

Well my dearies,

this entire week i was sick. and i got to stuffed to the point where i only could breathe through my mouth. but i can tell you all one thing. im so proud of myself because i was sick right when we did divisiones but i worked anyway and the Lord blessed us finding two great news. they are soo cute. they are grandparents, omar and Lidia, 81 and 79. Omar was very worried about whats going to happen after this life. so we gladly, shared the plan of salvation. it was a very special lesson. when we explained the kingdoms of glory. they both said that they want to go to the Celestial Kingdom. I told omar thats where we can live with God, Jesus Christ and our families forever. Omar said, "Ojala!" as in "i wish!" what a pure desire. they both accepted a baptismal date for november.

Im feeling better now. yesterday i recieved a blessing. im excited to see the blessings that come this week. i am so grateful for this time that i have to serve the Lord. its something so special to me.

les quiero mucho!!!!

October 12th

This past weeks have been hard. lots of contacting and searching for new people to teach. lots of our investigators that we had arent completing with their commitments so sadly were going to have to stop teaching them.

i had the chance to have an interview with president and it was nice to just talk to him about my questions and concerns. on sunday, i came down with a fever and a sore throat. so it was a day of rest. haha my comp gave me some peppermint oil to put on my nose to help me breathe. now i know why the people use pepper spray to keep the bad guys away. my eyes were tearing and burning all night haha.

also funny story the other day we helped with an activity and we were waiting for the bus to take us home. i didnt know which one to take. so i got on one to ask the driver no one heard me or maybe no one understood me. while i was standing on the bus my comp was waiting on the sidewalk at the bus stop. all of the sudden the bus starting running and the first thing i thought was jump. ahahah i jumped off the bus to the sidewalk. probably wasnt the smartest thing but i was safe and sound and i was reunited once again with my comp. hah

i hope you all have a great week. we are still searching for people to teach. i know that after all our hard work we will find someone prepared to accept the true gospel.

i love you all very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

¡Vamos Melody! :)‏

Well my  dearies. this transfer i recieved cambios!!! I am still in Parque Leloir, but now i have a new companion. Hna. Solís!!! She´s 20 yrs old and shes from Concepción, Chile!!!!! Where Mel is serving ahhhhh super joya. Im seriously loving these chilenos that i´ve been with. im looking forward to this transfer. She only has 2 months left so most likely shes going to "die" with me. We are still the STL´s. Mel sos una capa!!!!!!!  i know that you are going to be the best "mamá" with all your sweetness.

So far i havent recieved the trunky letter... i dont have any news on that. im not trunky. hahah this week we had an adventure because we went to the temple for my comp her converts were getting sealed. i was so excited because i thought that i would get to be in my first sealing. nope. we advised the temple workers and they that we needed to wait. after waiting for 2 hours a sister came up and told us that the sealing happened 15 minutes ago and that no one advised her. its okay what can i do.

hahahah funny story. we were contacting and the man just told us no thanks, we´re sleeping. so we went to the next house and then a lady came out of the house where the man was. And she started yelling at us and telling us to never knock on her door again. then she went back inside. then once again she came out and started walking up to us with lots of rage. i was like oh no is she going to hit my comp?? or me? haha she just yelled some more and we left and didnt say anything. and then everything was okay. hahahah afterwards my comp and i were thinking hey good thing we have our umbrellas to protect us.

Also im looking so forward to conference coming up this week. its such a great opportunity for our investigadores know the the church and feel the spirit. im going to be inviting everyone on the street. Yesterday i had to teach relief society alone and i was super nervous. i was given the talk from May "if you love me, keep my commandments" I love it because i learned so much from it. one the questions in the talk really touched me. "why do we committ sin when we know the eternal consequence?" I know that we came to earth to obey. While we were in heaven before this life we told our Heavenly Father that we would obey and return to him. Thanks to our savior we can get up when we fall. We can return with Them.

Love you all!!!!!!

Feliz día de Primavera!!!‏ {September 22nd}

This week i honeslty dont have much to say. but it was a great week! This week we had  stake conference and i got to go saturday and sunday. it was inspiring.

This week was a huge holiday in Chile so my comp and i sang songs from Chile. and i was thinking about Mel celebrating with those chilenos. Also Happy Spring!!! Feliz día de Primavera! it was yesterday. and its getting hot over here but theres some nice winds so im living.

Also i got the wonderful chance to do divisiones. its fun to see how the sisters work and learn from them. i noticed hahaah i think im the only one that needs to learn. the sisters in my zone are so great!!!
One of the things that i heard in the conference is that the lord is preparing his work. everyone, pero EVERYONE is going to know the true Gospel. We as members need to open our mouths and share it with everyone. i can tell you all that it brings a joy that isnt replacable. dont be scared just share your happiness with our brothers and sisters. we are a family of God.

I love you all!!!!
Besitos!!

goodness {September 15th}

My dearest family and friends,

 This week was also filled with rainy days. dont worry. i was singing in the rain. we´re still searching for people who want to change their lives. i got the chance to go the the temple with my ward. that was something special. like the song, "i love to see the temple" i really do!! i needed to feel some peace. Manuel, Maru(inactive member) came with us.

I have an interesting experience to share with you all. i had the wonderful opportunity to go to a baptism of one of my past investigators in Morón, his name is Martin. He is married to hermana Escobar who is a member of the church. when i was in morón we tried our best to invite martin to come to church and we did invite him to be baptized on certain dates. but he always accepted the dates and then would get scared. A crisis happened in there dear family brian his nephew had a horrible accident and within a month he died. this is a story that i hold dear to my heart and thats why i´ve never told you all. brian was an inactive member and we were trying to get him back to church. when he was in the hospital Hna olson and i had the privlege to go visit him. i have never seen someone so happy in my life. he told me that he wanted to go on a mission once he got out of the hospital. Brian was hooked up to a breathing machine and he couldnt move anything from his shoulders down to his toes. but he was the happiest in the room and glowing. we sang his favorite hymns and shared a thought from a talk of being grateful and left him with a prayer. short after this visit, Brian, a 20yr old boy, passed away. this family was such a huge example to me. they prayed and prayed and never stopped coming to church.

A couple of months later, Martin, changed completely and was baptized. Hna Escobar talked about how i taught martin and brian and that we know that Brian is now a missionary and is teaching in the spirit world. i know that our dear lord has a perfect plan and works in His time. i will never foget this moment. never, and i am forever grateful.

Another experience, picture this my comp and i were heading back home from the baptism on the bus. there was the window the boy, my comp, and me... and all of the sudden the glass shattered across our bodies. not one of us was touched or harmed. the Lord does protect us. i know it.

love youu allll!!!!
