Navidad!

Well as you can guess a lot has happened these past weeks. the 23rd we had our christmas pday and i got to go to the temple. Which was my absolute favorite part! my first time in spanish and surprisingly i understood everything. Que bueno!! i recieved my packages from my madre y padre y tambien de mis abuelos and from Aunt Emily and Uncle Mike. Thank you for the flashdrives and sunscreen boy i sure need that! haha emily the toothbrush came just in time because my other one melted... thats a story to be told. its really hot here obviously. Oh goodness thank you for the beef jerky!! YUM. Grandma I love the eyeshadow and the pictures. just thank you for all the love! Kenzie, Braden, Ellie, Ian, and Trey! Thank you for the sweet drawings they´re amazing. I love them.

so for christmas eve Nochebuena we got permission to have a dinner with the other hermanas in our area. we made tacos and my comp made cheesecake. i love her. Sadly my comp had a fever this day. while we were eating the lights went out for about 20min so that was fun. and my poor comp threw up. It was a wonderful christmas eve! haha it was.

the day of Christmas. el dia de navidad! we worked hard and goodness it was so hot. im sure in the 90´s and with humidity it feels like 110! we had lunch with a member and then in the afternoon i got the chance to skype my family! the 40mins went by really fast and it was funny because i had a hard time speaking english. obviously christmas wasnt the same. but i learned that christmas is about giving and loosing myself in the work of the Lord. My gift i recieved is the gozo the joy of this work este obra. Rocio got baptized the 28th shes 11 years old and her sister, Lucia, wants to get baptized in Enero. We´re hoping that her mom will get baptized soon. She´s not married and she wants to be baptized. the problem is that Martin her boyfriend doesnt want to get married. We´re praying that he´ll opened his heart. They´ll been living together for 11 years so i dont understand.

The transfer ends jan the 18th so we´ll see what happens. i dont have a lot of time in this area. oh so you know how my comp is a sister training leader so i get the joy of having divisions every week. I got the chance to work with 2 other sisters in bragado with bikes!! so that was fun for me. and it was my first time working as a trio.

Well i hope you all enjoyed your christmas!! and i wish you all a happy new year wow time flies. the 31st of this month i have 5 months in mission. i hope you all do something for jesucristo este nuevo ano. te amo mucho!!! I miss you all and missing the cold weather.

con mucho amor,

Week of December 16th

Wow, okay. So this week was a great one! the heat is literally killing me because with the humdity it feels like 130 degrees. i think i should lose the weight that i´ve gained haha. well okay so the news! We had 5 investigadores come to church!!! my first time to have 5. A lot of them are kids because everyone here isnt married.

one of the highest points of my week has to be saturday. we had 5 lecciones con miembro to get done. and i have no clue but we got everything done within a few hours!! seriously if you put in all your effort the lord will do the rest. well after we were exhausted from the heat and i decided it would be a good idea to buy some ice cream to celebrate! so i enjoyed my ice cream while walking in the dreading heat. and we went back to an investigators house to see if she could come to church the next day. we were waiting for her mom to get home because shes only 9 years old. we sat on the grass and waited... While we were waiting little did we know we had 15 little kids sitting with us. and they all asked us to sing. im not sure how many times we sang but what a precious moment.to sing "soy un hijo de Dios" I needed to be reminded that we need to be like children. how simple but all of us are royalty. Somos hijos de Dios y nos ama muchísimo.

im super excited for the 23 we have a christmas pday. and then i will be skyping with my family the 25th which means i dont get to email that coming pday because of the call. I hope you all are enjoying this month! its a month to remember the nacimiento de Jesucristo. he did so much for us and its a time for us to do something special for him. Christmas is my favorite holiday. it will weird without my family but i have family here also. i love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(wow)
This week has been great, really, it has been a good one. Sooooo the news... I have a new comp her name is Hermana Morales and shes from Santa Cruz, Mexico! She´s 21 and has 8 months in the mission. i now have 4 and i cant believe it. okay so guess what!? im in a new area!!! Chivilcoy Sur en 25 de Mayo. its campo and i absolutely love it. we are opening up a new area so its crazy starting from scratch. we have a brand new area book. everything is new but i love this area. its so tranquilo aquí. so opening up an area we´re doing pretty good. we found 3 great families that we are teaching. for my first sunday with only 2 days of work we had 2 investigadores come to church.

oh and so its so weird but the church here is a little house. im in a branch (rama). we have 6 missionaries serving in the area 4 hermanas and 2 elderes. we have about 30 people on a good day. anyway i thought my ward in panaca was small. anyway im super happy and excited to be here in this new area! and i know i was called here to this area for a reason im going to find mi querido amigos. mom dad, i have no clue if i´ll be able to skype or call. out here in the campo its very difficult. i will let you know next week!! the 23 we have a pday with the whole mission for christmas we all get to go to the temple. so im super excited for christmas!! im praying that i will find a member where we can skype. i hope you all are well. love you!!!!

What a Crazy Week!

This week was filled with tons of surprises. Lots of things happened. First I got to experience my first division because my comp is a sister training leader. so every week she goes to a different area of sisters to train and i get the other companion with me in my area. Im still in Padua anyway so my comp for the day was Hna. Gardner shes from Reno, Nv so that was cool! it was so hard not to talk in english i made it until we went back to the pench. i was so happy because i prayed that i wouldnt get lost that day and that i could be the leader. and everything worked out! i didnt get lost and now i think i know my area. woot.

so thursday night i stayed up till 12:30 with a group waiting for the bus. we took a 6 hour trip to Rosario to do paper work for our visas. ya i got some time to speak english again and i sat next to hna. Stevens my friend from the mtc! anyway i didnt get any sleep. i sure tried i promise. but everytime the bus stopped and turned out its bright lights i woke up. so we made to rosario at 7 in the morning and went here and there with papers. we stayed in one building for 5 hours. right after we bought mcdonalds and we all eat in the bus. and yes, another 6 hours back. anyway it was exhausting. but yes really worked out! i should be getting my id for argentina.

After this long trip. i got sick and pretty much was in bed for 2 days. everyone dont stress because when you get stressed you make yourself sick. trust me i did it myself. anyway im feeling better. i just need to calm down. i felt so bad for all the time lost. being sick as a missionary feels like the sadest thing. so i stayed at a members house and they took care of me while my comp went to work with another member. we didnt complete our goals this week. but i am so grateful for my zone they helped us out so much! my zone leaders came to the members house and gave me a blessing. i am so grateful for the preisthood. really, what a great blessing it is to all of us.

i dont know want to you all to worry about me. im doing well i feel better. i got some letters from my grandma and the relief society in my ward. thanks so much for the love and support. im super excited for christmas coming up! i hope you all enjoyed you thanksgiving because i didnt have one hah. tomorrow night i´ll find out if im going to a different area or not. i hope so i like change! well im used to moving a lot. i know that the lord really is listening to us and will answer our prayers. in his time. i love you all. the mission life is seriously the greatest!!!

love

Happy Thanksgiving!

hello everyone!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :)

Make sure that you eat all of the stuffing and try every different kind of pie for me. But don´t go into a food coma haha.

this week has been good, once again hard but you know this is never easy. Josefina has been teaching with us which is so good!! shes amazing. Guillermo should be receiving the priesthood soon. Gabriel is inactivo i don't know what to do to get that boy to go to church. he goes to institute and everything but not church.

we had 13 investigadores who said that would be going to church. we only had one of them come. we are trying to do all that we can to get them to come to church. we sure have a lot of investigadores but we need them to progress. we have a goal of bringing 2 souls into the waters of baptism. and we´re going to do everything that we can to make that possible.

i am now starting to die of heat here. its horrible with the humidity its like no other i´ve felt before!! i am starting to eat like crazy because of the heat and with all this walking. its only spring and I'm dying haha. oh great... oh well!!! oh the ups and downs are amazing!!! yo se que vive mi senor.

LOVE YOU ALL!!! Hermana Anderson

So, Elder Holland talked to me and my comp

FAAA (wow) this week has been definitely a great one. Saturday as missionaries we had a meeting with Elder Holland and his sweet wife Patricia. Their messages sunk deep into my heart. we as missionaries are represenitives of Jesucristo, literally. this is a time where i forget all of the things of the world. devote all my time, heart, mind, soul, strength... TODO(all) for Him. i cant express all of the things are learned because theres so many. but i do know that this time, my mission, is a great gift. and i cant waste one minute of it. one thing that he said that really got to me is that. "I cant promise that you´ll convert a million souls, but i can promise you one thing... You can be the one truly, deeply converted."

this is a time where i am changing and i have never felt so much joy with all the ups and downs. the one thing is how much closer i feel to God and to Jesus Christ. we all can become truly, deeply converted. and thats because of the son Jesucristo did everything, prepared us a way to volver con Dios, nuestro Padre Celestial. we can change through the atonement.

so sunday im so lucky, no so grateful. i got the opportunity to listen to Elder Holland again. in my stake we had a stake conference with him in the church where i serve. again the messages were amazing muy amorosa. we explained that he is in argentina because in this time the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is growing like crazy right now. we have about 3 thousand stakes in the world. and there hadnt been an general authority in my area for 33 years.

okay i want share something!!! i happened to be in the right place at the right time. i was outside of the church looking for investigators and elder Holland happened to be entering the church. i didnt say anything because i didnt want to be some crazy girl screaming. he looked at me and my comp and said, "Hermanas!! how are you?" (with so much excitement) and i shook his hand and i looked into his eyes. might sound silly but just with who he is i felt so much love. i know that he is called of god. i know that he is a man of God and has so much love for all of us.

anyway only really talked about Elder Holland but that´s seriously greatest part of my week and that my investigators got the chance to listen to him live. love you all!!!!!!!!!!! la iglesia es verdadera! :)

Week of November 11th

hello everyone! I'm doing well. as usual this week has also been a hard one. still adapting to having a new companera. but everything is all good. this week we need not have one investigator come to church. we worked so hard to get them to come to church. we even went to their houses so that we could go together. but when we went to their houses they didn't answer. Gabriela didn't go to church this week hopefully we can contact her and that shes doing well.
We found a complete family! Nadia y Ariel and they have 2 little girls. so cute! its amazing how people can feel the spirit. Ariel has just started to believe in god again and we found him at the right moment. he said that he could see our happiness and the spirit and wants to go to our church.

Guillermo is doing well and should be receiving the priesthood this week. Jorge y Josefina my other parents also are doing well!! sharing the gospel everywhere they go. with their neighbors and friends. A testimony can do so many things. Gabriel hasn't been coming to church for a while because of his job. this week is going to be amazing. i promise.

Elder Holland is coming to Padua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my area. for a stake conference. the building where i go to church... i am so excited and so grateful that i have this opportunity to hear him speak live for the first time in my life. maybe ill get to shake his hand. its also pretty intimidating because i really want to impress him as a missionary. anyway sorry if you all are jealous. haha kidding. know that i love you all and your in my prayers!!!!
